Effective from September 1st 2026
This website is deliberately simple. It collects only what you choose to send us through a contact form, and nothing more. We use no analytics or advertising tools, no tracking cookies and no third-party scripts. Below you will find which data we process, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have.
This policy is based on Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR) and on Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data.
Who processes your data
The controller is:
ExCoLabs j. s. a.
Tallerova 4, 811 02 Bratislava, Slovakia
Company ID (IČO): 57 018 171
Commercial registry entry: https://www.orsr.sk/vypis.asp?ID=725412
Email: info@excolabs.com
We have not appointed a data protection officer, as the law does not require us to. Please send any questions about your data directly to us at the address above.
What data we process
Data from contact forms
When you write to us through a form, we process:
- your name,
- your email address,
- your company name, if you provide it (it is optional),
- the subject and text of your message,
- which form you used to contact us (for example design partner or investor).
Technical data
On every visit, the web server automatically records your IP address, the time of the request, the page visited and basic information about your browser. When you submit a form, your IP address is also stored briefly to protect the form against spam and abuse, for example so that one address cannot send an unlimited number of messages. We do not use this data to identify or track visitors.
We collect no other data. We do not build profiles and we do not make any automated decisions.
What we use the data for and on what legal basis
- Handling your enquiry. We use the data from the form to reply to you and to continue the conversation about what you wrote to us, for example a design partnership or an investment. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to messages addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where your enquiry is aimed at entering into a contract, the processing is also a step taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Website security and spam protection. We process technical data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
By ticking the box in the form, you confirm that you have read this policy. Providing your data is voluntary, but without your name and email address we cannot reply to you.
How long we keep the data
- Form messages and related correspondence: 24 months from our last exchange with you, after which we delete them. If the correspondence leads to a contractual relationship, we keep the data needed to perform it for the duration of that relationship and afterwards for the periods required by law (for example for accounting).
- Server logs: no longer than 120 days.
- Spam-protection records: briefly, no longer than a year after the form is submitted.
Who we share the data with
We do not sell, publish or pass your data to third parties for their own purposes. The website uses no analytics, advertising networks, social media buttons or any other third-party services that would collect data about you.
Only our processors, who run the infrastructure for us, have technical access to the data, strictly on our instructions and under a data processing agreement:
- the web hosting provider whose servers run the website: Websupport,
- the email provider hosting the mailbox that receives form messages: Google.
Beyond that, we disclose data only where the law requires us to, for example to a court or a public authority.
Transfers outside the European Union
We do not transfer your data outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.
How we protect the data
The website communicates exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only authorised people at ExCoLabs have access to form messages, and we do not use the data for any purpose other than the one you provided it for.
Cookies
We use no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, and no third-party cookies. That is why there is no cookie banner on this website – there is nothing to ask your consent for.
The website may store only a technical session cookie that is strictly necessary for it to work: for example to show you a confirmation after you submit a form, or when site administrators log in. Such a cookie does not track your behaviour and, under the law, does not require consent.
Your rights
In connection with the processing of your data, you have the right:
- of access – to find out whether and what data we process about you, and to obtain a copy,
- to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data,
- to erasure of data that is no longer needed or whose processing you have successfully objected to,
- to restriction of processing, for example while we verify the accuracy of your data,
- to object to processing based on our legitimate interest; we then stop processing the data unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds,
- to data portability to the extent GDPR allows it.
You can exercise your rights by email at info@excolabs.com or by post to our registered office. To avoid disclosing your data to the wrong person, we may ask you to verify your identity. We will reply without undue delay and within one month at the latest. In justified cases we may extend this period by a further two months, and we will let you know if we do.
Complaint to the supervisory authority
If you believe we process your data in breach of the law, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:

Changes to this policy and language versions
If the way the website works or the data it processes changes, we will update this policy. The current version is always on this page, together with the date from which it applies.
This policy is available in Slovak and English, and both versions have the same content. In the event of any discrepancy, the Slovak version prevails.
